World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King - A Pandemic System Board Game uses regular gameplay mechanics, but uses to a completely new environment. Instead of tokens for diseases, ghosts reside in spaces. can overrun (previously known as an outbreak) when they have four players.

Heroes and villains from the Warcraft universe - Varian Wrynn Tirion Fordring Thrall, Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmoore, Lady Liadrin - - join the battle against undead enemies. The characters they represent have various abilities and abilities, making for a variety of hero combinations.

The Lich King is an imposing, menacing cocksure and is depicted on the board with the fist which can move in a different direction after each moment the Hero does a fight, or Quest Action.

 

Scourge Deck

 

The original Pandemic system has not changed in this game, however the rest are replaced by hoards of ghosts and evil creatures that run through the entire continent of Northrend. Forgone are the colour-coded players cards you needed to make sets of and later turn in to cure diseases - now replaced by Hero cards that allow you the ability to enhance your the enemy, stop attacks and take a ride to further lands, as well as many other things.

A fresh mechanic, Epidemics (similar to outbreaks in the first Pandemic) generates more undead-looking creatures which advance along the Despair track until Heroes become awash. There's also the Lich King himself - a massive figure who conveys the sense of menace that the game captures so well. The figure is poised with an iconic blade in hand, with his arm raised to a nearly-deathlike salute.

 

Abominations

 

The small ghouls spawned in Pandemic games will be replaced by bigger, more menacing Abominations that spawn on the board in Epidemic cards. They move all over the place as landmines, causing damage to the heroes who touch them.

If the Abomination can cause enough damage heros, it gets closer to them, and it attacks. If the hero is playing defense cards, this will block the attack of the Abomination.

The Abomination models are stunning, and they look as if they were taken straight from a video game. Heroes

 

The Heroes of the game portray icons from Blizzard's world famous world, including Tirion Fordring, Thrall, Jaina Proudmoore, Lady Liadrin, Varian Wrynn as well as Sylvanas Windrunner. Each character has two special Talents that will aid in either fighting or questing and are available for use once per turn.

Fights and jousting take place at the table using the combination of dice rolls and drawing cards. The evil creatures move about the board and attack the Heroes, and when they strike one of the Hero they can cause injury.
